If you know school transportation and enjoy connecting with people, we’d love to meet you.

Kids Wheels is looking for an experienced school transportation or district professional to help us connect with more schools, understand their transportation needs, and build lasting partnerships.

This could be a great opportunity if you’ve retired from a school district, are stepping back from full-time work, or would simply enjoy a flexible role where your experience and relationships can make a difference. Former transportation directors, managers, supervisors, special education transportation coordinators, superintendents, and other experienced district professionals are encouraged to apply.

The position offers $50 per hour for 40 paid hours per month. We’ll work together on a flexible schedule, with some weekday availability for school calls and local meetings.

    What you’ll do

    • Connect with school and district staff and start conversations about their transportation needs.

    • Introduce Kids Wheels and help identify where our services could be a good fit.

    • Arrange meetings and help us get to know the right people.

    • Share your understanding of district priorities, purchasing processes, and timing.

    • Follow up on conversations and help interested schools take the next step.

    • Bring your ideas and experience to our team as we grow.

You’ll work directly with our owner and team. We’ll provide information about our services and support you with proposals, pricing, and operational questions.

    What we’re looking for

We’d love to meet someone with school transportation or district experience, established professional relationships in Colorado education, and a friendly, dependable approach. Experience working with outside transportation providers would be especially valuable.

You should enjoy reaching out to people, listening, and following through. Comfort with phone calls, email, and keeping simple notes will help you succeed in the role.

If you’d enjoy staying connected to the school community while helping more students access dependable transportation, we’d welcome a conversation.
